The Road to Intervision: Bridging Tradition and Education

Moustafa Saad's selection was a nod to his significant standing in the world of modern Arab music, where he has successfully bridged the gap between traditional sounds and contemporary production. Saad is an accomplished singer, educator, and soloist of the Egyptian Opera Theater in Alexandria. The Contest Performance and Theme

Moustafa Saad performed his original love ballad, "Ben Elbanat" (written in Arabic as بن البنات), which translates as 'Among All the Girls'. The song's core message is one of rare and precious love, told through rich metaphors and a cinematic soundscape.

Moustafa Saad's Statement on his Song's Inspiration:

Saad wrote the lyrics himself during a period of "pause" in his life and career—a time when he experienced uncertainty and melancholy. He stated that the song became a means of expressing quiet strength and faith. The arrangement was a beautiful mix of an Arabic-style pop ballad with Middle Eastern motifs and a shift between gentle verses and powerful choruses.

Contest Result

Moustafa Saad's elegant and emotional performance placed Egypt toward the lower end of the scoreboard(20th), but successfully introduced his unique blend of cinematic Arabic pop to a diverse global audience.
