Poll: Russians Name Their Top Choices to Represent the Country at Intervision 2026

The Russian media are buzzing with a poll conducted by the research center Russian Field. The poll asked who Russians most want to see represent the country at the upcoming Intervision 2026 international song contest.

Singer SHAMAN (Yaroslav Dronov) emerged as the overall favorite in the study. SHAMAN was previously selected as Russia’s representative for the 2025 edition of the contest. Although the public seems to be down for a second representation by the famous singer, Shaman has already ruled out a second appearance in the upcoming contest in Riyahd.

In the survey, conducted between June 18 and June 26, 2026, respondents were asked to name a singer without being given a pre-selected list. SHAMAN secured the top spot with 7% of the total mentions, while 41% of participants found it difficult to choose an artist.

The survey highlighted several prominent Russian music figures:

SHAMAN (Yaroslav Dronov): 7%

Polina Gagarina: 4%

Sergey Lazarev: 4%

Tatyana Kurtukova: 3%

Philipp Kirkorov: 2%

Dima Bilan: 2%

Lubeh : 2%

Oleg Gazmanov: 2%

The public is eager to choose there next representative and the contest seems to excite Russia. Who could the next Russian representative be? Time will tell us soon...
