Much speculation about a return of Shaman in Intervision 2026 seems to have shut. The Famous artist declined to compete for a prize-winning place in the 2025 contest in terms of hospitality. His decision left open discussions speculating his next year return in Saudi Arabia where he could properly compete.
A Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation suggested that Yaroslav Dronov (Shaman), will not participate in the "Intervision" contest for a second time.
Mikhail Shvydkoy, in his capacity, commented on RIA Novosti that the Russian representative is unlikely to be the same artist at the next event.
"I don't think he will want to repeat the same gesture he made here. And Russia has many talented musicians... There are many of them; I am sure we will choose a worthy one," the Special Representative stated.
Although Shaman does not seem to be coming back as a contestant. An 'interval act' place in the Intervision Song Contest in Riyadh is highly possible.
